Man names multiple negligent parties in asbestos lawsuit

People who learn that they have been diagnosed with a devastating illness linked to asbestos exposure are often left with many questions. Most people want to know where they may have been exposed to asbestos and how they could have been in such a dangerous environment without even knowing it. Because exposure typically happens 10-40 years before a person is ever diagnosed with an asbestos-related illness, it can be very difficult to find these answers on your own.

That is why many people who have been affected by asbestos exposure in North Carolina speak with an attorney who has experience tracing the sources of exposure and holding negligent companies accountable. This can be a very difficult process, considering the fact that often, a person has been exposed to asbestos in many different environments over the course of many years. However, with knowledgeable support, a person can identify negligent parties and take action to pursue compensation.

One man recently filed a lawsuit against multiple parties after he was diagnosed with mesothelioma. Like many other people in his position, the man had likely been exposed to asbestos at many points during his lifetime and he is taking action to hold each of them responsible for his devastating condition.

According to reports, the man may have first been exposed to asbestos when he was in the U.S. Navy in 1951. Many men and women who served in the military or worked near shipyards breathed in asbestos fibers because the material was widely used on these vessels.

After he finished his military service, the man continued to work as a plumber for many years and for many different companies. But at just about every point, the man was working with plumbing, insulation, pipes and boilers which all were very often made using asbestos-containing products. During his employment as a plumber, the man says he was exposed to the asbestos in these products without knowing that it was there and without knowing the dangers associated with breathing in the asbestos dust.

It can be very complicated to identify each source of asbestos exposure and find evidence to support each and every claim. However, with the help of an attorney, there may be a greater chance of finding the negligent parties and holding them accountable for dangerous and reckless asbestos exposure practices.
